The vocal group One Direction were the big winners at the 2014 American Music Awards. They won three times including the top award - Artist Of The Year. Katy Perry also won three times including Single of the Year for "Dark Horse."

Other multiple winners included Iggy Azalea and Beyonce. Taylor Swift won the Dick Clark Award of Excellence.

The ceremony was hosted by Pitbull.
