The Golden State Warriors won their 2nd NBA title in three years with a four games to one series win over the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers. The two teams have met in the last three finals. The Warriors went 16-1 in their playoff run.

Kevin Durant, who joined the Warriors before the 2016-17 season, was named the finals MVP. He averaged 35.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists in the finals.

LeBron James averaged a triple-double in the finals for Cleveland.
