New Orleans Arena - New Orleans, LA
Runner Up:
Louisville Cardinals
Misc:
Coached by Geno Auriemma

Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies routed Louisville 93-60 to win the school's eighth title. The championship ties the program with Tennessee for the most titles.

Breanna Stewart became the first freshman since 1987 to win MOP honors in the Final Four. Stewart scored 18 of her 23 points in a dazzling first half. It was the most lopsided victory in a title game.

Connecticut trailed Louisville 13-8 with 14:44 left in the first half but then scored 21 of the next 22 points to take a 29-14 lead and never looked back.

Auriemma has never lost a championship game in eight appearances.
