Republican Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle won re-election in the 2006 Hawaii elections. Democratic Senator Daniel Akaka (pictured) also won re-election - he has served as a US Senator from Hawaii since 1990.

Democrats kept both of Hawaii's seats in the House of Representatives as Neil Abercrombie won re-election in the 1st District and Mazie Hirono won an open seat in the 2nd District.
