New Mexico's incumbent Democratic Governor Bill Richardson (pictured) easily won re-election to a second term in 2006, defeating Republican challenger John Dendahl. Incumbent Senator Jeff Bingaman also won re-election by a wide margin.

In New Mexico's House races, all three incumbents won re-election. Heather Wilson in the 1st District defeated Democratic challenger Patricia Madrid by a little more than 800 votes.
