Who Won Delaware Elections in 2008?

The Senate seat held by VP candidate Joe Biden was up for election in 2008. Since Biden became the vice president elect Governor Ruth Ann Minner appointed Ted Kaufman, who will serve until the 2010 election.

Governor Minner was not eligible for re-election, but fellow Democrat Jack Markell (pictured) easily defeated Republican Bill Lee.

Congressman Mike Castle defeated Democrat challenger Karen Hartley-Nagle.

Senator Tom Carper's term expires in 2012.

Barack Obama won Delaware's 3 electoral votes.
