The incumbents all won re-election in Alaska in 2010. Governor Sean Parnell won his first election after being appointed when Sarah Palin left office.

Incumbent US Senator Lisa Murkowski lost a primary election to Joe Miller, but decided to run as a write-in candidate and edged Miller in the general election.

Don Young easily defeated his Democratic challenger.
