Texas Governor Rick Perry won re-election to a third consecutive term in 2010 over former Houston Mayor Bill White.

Incumbents won 29 of 32 Congressional races. In the other three races Republicans defeated Democratic incumbents.

In the 17th district incumbent Chet Edwards was defeated by Bill Flores. In the 23rd incumbent Ciro Rodriguez lost to Francisco Canseco, and in the 27th district incumbent Solomon Ortiz fell to Blake Farenthold.
