Incumbent U.S. Senator Bob Casey won re-election to a second term over Republican Tom Smith.

There three new members of congress elected in Pennsylvania in 2012, including Keith Rothfus who defeated incumbent Democrat Mark Critz in the 12th District.

Barack Obama won the 20 electoral votes from Pennsylvania with 52% of the vote.
