Who Won California Elections in 2014?
Incumbent Governor Jerry Brown ran for re-election to a second consecutive and fourth overall term in office. He defeated Republican challenger Neel Kashkari with 60% of the vote.
There were six open seats for California in the House of Representatives. Four were won by Democrats. The 31st District flipped from Republican to Democrat when Pete Aguilar defeated Paul Chabot.
The incumbent with the closest race was Ami Bera in the 7th District, who narrowly won with 50.4% over Republican Doug Ose.
