Incumbent Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo won reelection to a second term in office fairly comfortably over Republican challenger Rob Astorino.

Incumbents won re-election in 23 of 27 House districts. In the 1st District Lee Zeldin knocked off Democratic incumbent Tim Bishop, and in the 24th District John Katko defeated Democratic incumbent Daniel Maffei.

Kathleen Rice held the 4th District for the Democrats, while Elise Stefanik flipped the 21st for the Republicans.
