Julia Louis-Dreyfus wins at the 2006 Emmy Awards

The 58th Annual Emmy Awards were held August 27, 2006 in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The host was Conan O'Brien. The drama series "24" finally broke through to win awards for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Actor in a Drama (Kiefer Sutherland). "The Office" won best comedy series, but star Steve Carell lost to repeat winner Tony Shalhoub of "Monk".
