At the 2009 MTV Movie Awards "Twilight" was the big winner taking five awards including Best Movie. "Twilight" had seven nomination while "Slumdog Millionaire" had six. "Slumdog" came away empty-handed.
This year there was a new category for best song from a movie which was won by Miley Cyrus.
Sacha Baron Cohen was the story of the night. Cohen was above the audience on a harness, but then spun down and landed on Eminem - who then stormed out of the hall.
Fans voted online for all the categories.
SNL star Andy Samberg was the host.
