Who Won the 2016 College Football Playoff?
The championship game in college football featured Fiesta Bowl winner Clemson and Peach Bowl winner Alabama in a rematch of the previous year.
The Crimson Tide jumped out to a 14-0 lead behind two Bo Scarbrough touchdown runs. The Tigers were still down ten going into the fourth quarter but scored twice to take the lead. Alabama briefly took the lead back on a 30-yard touchdown by Jalen Hurts, but Clemson scored again with 6 second remaining for the 35-31 victory.
It was the first national championship for Clemson since 1981.
Clemson's Deshaun Watson threw for 420 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner.
