Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford won the Heisman Trophy in 2008 and became the fifth Oklahoma Sooner to win the award.
Bradford threw for 4464 yards and 48 touchdowns on leading the Sooners to a birth in the BCS Championship Game. Sam Bradford is only the second sophomore to win the award, the first being last year's winner Tim Tebow.
Runner-up was Texas quarterback Colt McCoy. Tim Tebow finished third in the Heisman voting.
