Who Won Super Bowl 50?
Peyton Manning was the winning quarterback as the Denver Broncos knocked off the Carolina Panthers 24-10. There was much speculation that this would be Manning's final game.
But it was the defense that won the game for Denver. Led by game MVP Von Miller the Broncos sacked Panthers quarterback and league MVP Cam Newton six times. The team had seven total sacks, the most ever by a Super Bowl team. They held the Panthers to their lowest point total of the season.
The Broncos could muster only 194 yards of total offense - the fewest ever by a Super Bowl winning team. Running back C.J. Anderson had 90 of those yards and Denver's only offensive touchdown.
