The Blackhawks won their second Stanley Cup in four years with a 4 games to 2 win over the Boston Bruins. Chicago was down 2-1 late in game six, but scored twice in the final 1:16 to take the wind out of Boston's sails along with the Cup.

The season began with a lockout, then Chicago went the first 24 games without a regulation loss.

Conn Smythe winner Patrick Kane had six goals in the final seven games of the Blackhawks' playoff run.
