The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards were held September 7, 2008 in Los Angeles. The show was hosted by English comedian Russell Brand and included performances by Rihanna, Lil Wayne, the Jonas Brothers, Pink, and T.I. Britney Spears in a comeback of sorts won three Video Music Awards for "Piece Of Me."
