The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards were held August 28, 2011 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Adele all won multiple awards with Perry winning Video of the Year for "Firework." Lady Gaga spent the evening dressed as her male alter ego Jo Calderone.
