Martin Truex, Jr. won his first race of the 2016 Sprint Cup season when he won the Coca-Cola 600. He dominated the race leading for a record 392 laps. He led for 588 of the 600 miles, the most ever in a single race in NASCAR history.

Kevin Harvick finished second and Jimmie Johnson, who led for five laps, finished third.
