Republican Johnny Isakson defeated DFL opponent Denise L Majette for an open US Senate seat in Georgia. Republicans and Democrats split the four open House seats, with the incumbents winning all the other races in the 2004 Georgia elections.
George W Bush won Georgia's 15 electoral votes.
