Who Won Vermont Elections in 2006?

Incumbent Republican James H Douglas defeated challenger Scudder Parker to retain the Governor's seat in Vermont. Vermont's Independent Senator Bernie Sanders (pictured) easily defeated Republican challenger Rich Tarrant.

The lone Vermont House seat was open in 2006. Democrat Peter Welch defeated Republican Martha Rainville.
