"Stranger Things" wins at the SAG Awards

Jan 29, 2017

The movie "Fences" and the TV show "The Crown" both won a couple awards at the 23rd SAG Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. No other film or television program won more than one award. "Hidden Figures" won the Best Motion Picture Cast, "Orange Is The New Black" won the Best Comedy Series Cast, and "Stranger Things" was a surprise winner for Best Drama Series Cast. Many of the winners used some of their acceptance speeches to take jabs at the newly sworn-in President Trump. Lily Tomlin was the 2016 SAG Life Achievement Award honoree.
