NBA Rookie of the Year
The NBA Rookie of the Year award has been handed out since the 1952-53 season and is given to the league's top first-year player. The actual trophy is called the Eddie Gottlieb Trophy.
The latest NBA Rookie of the Year was Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers. Derrick Rose (pictured left) of the Chicago Bulls won in 2009.
