The Arena Bowl is the championship game for the Arena Football League.

The first Arena Bowl was held in 1987 when the Denver Dynamite defeated the Pittsburgh Gladiators 45-16 in Pittsburgh.

From 1987 to 2004 the Arena Bowl was hosted by the higher seeded team, but changed to a neutral site in 2005.

The Tampa Bay Storm have won the most Arena Bowl champinships with five.

AFL owners cancelled their 2009 season, but came back in 2010.
