Andy Murray won his second singles title at Wimbledon and third grand slam overall with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2) win over Milos Raonic. His first Wimbledon win came in 2013.

Murray had appeared in the finals of the previous two grand slam events, and lost both to Novak Djokovic.

Raonic became the first Canadian man to appear in a grand slam final.
