The 66th Annual Academy Awards were presented on March 21, 1994 in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. Whoopi Goldberg hosted. Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List" - which tells the story of one man's deeds to first exploit and finally help Jews during the holocaust - won seven Academy Awards, but none for acting. It did win Best Picture and Best Director. "The Piano" took two of the acting Oscars for Best Actress (Holly Hunter) and Best Supporting Actress (a young Anna Paquin). "Jurassic Park" won three Oscars for sound and special effects.
