The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards were held on September 12, 2023 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The ceremony was hosted by Nicki Minaj. It was a night for Taylor Swift as she had the most nominations with eleven and the most wins with nine. Shakira won the Video Vanguard Award.
