Steve Martin was the host for the 73rd annual Academy Awards ceremony - held on March 25, 2001 in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. "Gladiator" was the big winner with five Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell Crowe. "Traffic" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" also had big nights taking home several four awards each.
