Who Won Documentary Short Oscars?
The Academy Award for Documentary Feature Film was introduced at the 14th Academy Awards in 1942. The first Oscar went to "Churchill's Island". Through the years multiple winners have included Charles Guggenheim and Walt Disney. In the early years, it was common for films produced by the armed forces to win the Oscar for Documentary Short.
