"Pulitzer Prize Playhouse" won the very first Emmy for Best Dramatic Show back in 1951. Since then classic dramas such as "The Defenders", "Hill Street Blues", and "The West Wing" have won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. "Hill Street Blues," "L.A. Law," "The West Wing," "Mad Men," and "Game Of Thrones" are all tied for the most wins in this category with four each.
